What is DeFAI?

DeFAI refers to the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Commonly, it is known as to empower autonomous AI agents to handle complex DeFi tasks on behalf of users — such as trading automation, data analysis, portfolio rebalancing, risk management, and yield optimization — without needing technical interventions.

Compared to traditional DeFi, which relies on manual activity or predetermined smart‑contract logic, DeFAI systems embed machine learning and decision systems to adapt strategies in real time and make data-driven choices.
